Position Purpose:

Support the strategic direction of the organization. Demonstrate integrity, heritage, fairness, quality and community service in the performance of one’s functions and responsibilities to ensure that the department goals are achieved.

Essential Functions, including but not limited to:

Primary:

· Inventory Control Supervisor supervises inventory control operations and Inventory Clerks.

· Assist in the creation of standard procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency.

· Liaising and negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure the quality of stock purchases. Coordinating the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, labeling and processing. Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability.

· Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement and support initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities using best inventory management practices.

· Utilizes inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Assist in setting up, inputting and reconciliation of physical inventories. Execute cycle counts and physical inventories and reconciliations as required.

· Maintain accurate and current physical inventory database through Vehicle Tracker.

· Process Repair Orders into Vehicle Tracker. Input vehicle maintenance information and PO’s into Vehicle Tracker.

· Assist in setting up and managing a cycle count inventory system at all storerooms.

· Assist in the design of monthly management reports utilizing Vehicle Tracker, Excel and Access.

· Ensure all materials areas inside and at terminal locations are orderly and kept in the highest housekeeping standards. Perform space management activities to ensure safe and orderly storage of materials in conjunction with good material handling and inventory control methodologies.

· Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Performance Standards:

· Timeliness and accuracy in the recording of inventory and financial transactions.

· Responds quickly and accurately to internal customer inquiries, reference reports, and statements.

· Effectively participates as part of the team, assisting where appropriate and requesting assistance when needed.

Position Specifications

Education:

· High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and math skills. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

· Ability to organize tasks and time to ensure timely completion of duties and projects.

Technical Training:

· Knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment. Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software.

· Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, vendors and the general public.

Experience:

· Minimum of three (3) years of experience in inventory control and inventory audit processes with a strong familiarity and/or experience with heavy duty parts.

This position requires direct contact with a diverse group of internal and external customers at all levels of the organization. This position must demonstrate integrity, heritage, fairness, quality, and community service in the performance of one’s functions and responsibilities to ensure that the department goals are achieved.

Typical 50-60 hour work weeks.

Essential Functions:

· Quality maintenance, diagnosis and repairs on all equipment.

· Maintenance and repair of company tractors and trailers.

· Perform maintenance, repair and other duties within company standards for productivity.

· Understand and implement maintenance schedules.

· Assist other shop mechanics/ personnel/ drivers as needed.

· Display the ability to learn and apply new knowledge through attendance of technical classes to advance technical capabilities.

· Ensure cleanliness of shop and yard areas.

· Communicate effectively with other employees and supervisor.

· Maintain and utilize work areas, tools and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.

· Work varying shifts and overtime as business needs arise.

Work Environment:

· Shop and outside environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust and dirt.

· Using company service vehicle travel when necessary to make repairs.

Physical / Mental Abilities:

· Professional attitude and appearance consistent with position and responsibilities.

· Self-motivated and detail oriented; work with minimum supervision.

· Stand/ walk 5 – 6 hours per day. Sit 1 – 4 hours per day.

Antonini Enterprises is searching for an experienced transportation Dispatcher to join our premier team at our terminal in Stockton, CA. This important full-time position you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient flow of equipment and ensure drivers (company & independent contractors) are dispatched in traffic lanes to maintain a high level of premier customer service. Communicate and support the strategic direction of the organization and department and provide leadership, coaching, direction and foster teamwork to ensure that the department goals are achieved.

Shift: 1:30pm-10pm, Monday – Friday

Essential Functions:

Effectively utilize Dispatch computer systems to prepare routes and dispatch drivers. Ensure all freight is out for delivery according to service standards and customer requirements.

Plan and schedule freight operations; coordinate and assign drivers with equipment and dispatch loads in the most efficient and profitable manner. Ensuring waiting times are kept to a minimum to maximize company revenues and special considerations are planned and accounted for (chemicals, fragile, etc.).

Attain operational goals in the areas of overall performance, missed pickups, on-time service, clerical support overtime, weight and inspection goals, safety and operations audit scores. Work with audit results to ensure department is in compliance with both safety and operational standards. Create and update action steps in accordance with goals.

Handle phone calls from customers in accordance with telephone etiquette and customer service standards. Assist staff with customer service calls regarding scheduling appointment freight, tracing, customer problem resolution, etc.

Work closely with Safety Department to ensure compliance with Safety audits, company policies, and external regulations.

Proactively supervise Dispatch Assistants. Recognize and reward employee contributions through verbal commendation and confront negative or inappropriate behavior via corrective action procedures. Secure documentation, complete written reports and or disciplinary notices as needed, and engage dispatchers and dispatch assistants in coaching and/or disciplinary meetings/actions.

Properly communicate company policies and plans to all associates and communicate employee feedback to the appropriate department.

Provide Driver performance feedback to Driver Supervisor, to recognize, motivate and promote continuous improvement and development. Assist Driver Supervisor by providing coaching and information to drivers to assure adherence to company policies and practices.

In collaboration with Department leader, administer staff performance reviews as scheduled and clearly communicate any employee recognition and/or report employee issues requiring disciplinary action.

Work cooperatively with Independent Contractors to ensure that they are aware of customer needs/expectations as communicated to Antonini so that scheduling, assignments and dispatch of equipment and drivers are in compliance with agreements and are supportive of company and customer goals.

Maintain excellent working relationship with shippers/receivers, customers and Independent Contractors as the front line representative of the company.

Develop a system and follow up to ensure appointments for loading and unloading of each load are made and are reasonable.

Work with maintenance department to sure equipment is available for PM service and other work as necessary, including documentation of road calls.

Develop a system and ensure that shipping and receiving location maps are available as necessary and accurate.

Qualifications

Two years working experience in the motor carrier industry, including knowledge of operations, clerical procedures, and DOT, FMCSA and HAZMAT regulations.

Strong knowledge of the geographical areas covered. Central Valley and East Bay areas.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of all professional levels. Ability to read, understand and communicate to others job related information/materials Proficient English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and math skills;

Bi-lingual English & Spanish, preferred.
